Hello there,

I know that I have not been updating for a very long time. Not since July 31. I had an entry in September, but the computer froze in the power outtage and I lost it, sadly. But maybe it is for the better, because I had been sugar-high then on biscotti cookies.

There is new comic book store that is just starting a little out from where I live. I visit it quite a bit, and they have all these back isues that they sell at regular-comic price. Except the comics that are so old that they are in plastic slips. I purchased a couple Legion comics for $6.00 and one old What-IF Marvel comic for $6.00 (it had IF ELEKTRA HAD LIVED, and the art was just gorgeous). I won't be going there for a while because I need to keep my money priorities straight.

The cold has kept me inside, wrapped in blankets by the fireplace with a hot mug of cocoa (sadly, no marshmallows) and my art supplies. I've taken up drawing again. It feels good, and I realize that I am getting much, much better.

I enjoy drawing Legion the most, because of all the comic fandoms, it is so convulted that you can have your AU Legion and no one needs to write up a whole list for it. Plus, it has Brainiac 5. And Brainy and his entire family is just tops.

Family Guy has gone down hill. I haven't seen a funny episode in the latest bunch. There was at least ONE gold moment, and then the rest was pure waste of time-slot and production money.

American Dad isn't as funny as Family Guy used to be, but I like it because it makes fun of politics, religion, and also the nuts-y things we do in our beautiful America.

I’m sorry, but they went for a the geniuses-are-asses stereotyping and turned Brainiac 5 into an always-single douche! They don’t even let his good side shine through anymore. He’s either screaming, yelling, or reminding someone they are an idiot in various panels.

Apparently, Vril Dox II is going to be a yellow lantern. He’s THAT much of a bastard that the Sinestro Corps bring him into their fold. Oh, and he beats up zombie!Stealth and zombie!Harbringer.

Later, he holds up the severed head of his enemy and grins smugly at the camera. Oh, and the severed head is *dripping* blood. On the floor. In splatters.

…maybe I’m just transferring my feelings of hurt and dislike because the writers turned Brainiac 5 into an always-single-dousche…but, don’t you want to punch Vril in the face after seeing this?: [link]

You went willingly to her bed more than just a *couple* times around) and your only son to pursue your twisted, Machiavellian outlook. *Again*. You are an ass, but I’ll still read your comics because you punched Supergirl all the way back in Issue #1-3.

You had that crush on Brainy, didn’t you? Why didn’t you go for it? You had more sex appeal and a bigger heart than Supergirl ever did! You also didn’t leave whenever you had a “boo hoo! I’m not good enough!” moment. You have your chance now—GET IN THERE!

Dear Brainiac 5 of Earth-Prime,
You are my favorite Brainy because you don’t take your Legion’s crap. You also have the sweetest relationship between you and Dream Girl. I wish you two all the luck on your coming nuptials and your future together (ha! Pun!) Please beat up Geoff Johns if he tries to meddle in your world. He never wrote you right in Legion of Three Worlds.
